The Account Executive is responsible for assisting in achieving sponsorship revenue goals through his/her own direct sales and through participation in the implementation of the overall sponsorship strategy.

Key Accountabilities:

Meet or exceed individual sales goals on a monthly basis
Conduct a minimum of four meetings each week with clients new to Alaska Public Media
Sell in a way that is consistent with Alaska Public Media’s standards, mission and values for representing public media
Build and maintain a positive working relationship between underwriting department and other station departments
Meet all FCC guidelines
Follow station guidelines regarding:  
Copy approval
Copy and traffic deadlines
Account receivables and collections
Participate in station activities, meetings, events, and pledge drives when possible
Represent the company in a manner that meets with its market image

Social Media Management:

Plan and implement the social media calendar ahead of time and using scheduling tools efficiently.

Content creation:

Community and Customer relations:

Coordinate with different parties internally to get reliable and accurate responses to customer queries.
Highlight important and relevant information/insights to management.
Manage crisis as they emerge while keeping a professional attitude.

Analytics:

Track and monitor the performance of the different pages on a weekly basis.
Use Tracking tools to provide reports on metrics.
Take initiative to continuously improve on those metrics across multiple platforms.
Rely on those metrics to find out what works, tweak and improve posting, campaigns, etc…
Monitor social media channels and industry references on a daily basis for latest trends.

Required Skills & Experience of the Candidate:

Knowledge in digital currencies is a big plus.
Excellent command of English writing skills
2+ years in managing social media platforms, scheduling and performance tracking tools.
Ability to manage multiple accounts across multiple platforms.
Background in Hospitality is a strong plus.
Passion for social media
Knowledge in Photoshop or other photo editing software
