Female Restaurant Team Leader


Summary of Position

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. Each Team Leader’s primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again and above all to lead the servers whilst on their shift.

Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
Inform guests of specials and menu changes.
Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar.
Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
To ensure that the cleanliness and organisation of your team are within the management guidelines
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
Train new waiting staff
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Qualifications
Between 20 to 30 years of age.
Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our customers.
Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Brazilian Restaurant Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Carving/serving tableside fresh cuts of meat to the guests according to established standards.
Provide continuous attention to guest needs; greet, assist and thank guests in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
Offer product suggestions and inform guests of specials when appropriate.
Have knowledge of various cuts of meat, including special cuts; process meat (e.g., beef, pork, veal, poultry and lamb) according to company standards.
Performing side duties helping to provide a clean and safe work environment in all restaurant areas.
Cleaning, organizing, and restocking product/equipment at the end of shift daily.
Following established safety standards using safe food handling guidelines and maintains a clean work area. Ensuring compliance of the State of Florida’s HACCP program.
Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Fairmont policies, procedures, training and Team Member involvement activities.
Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

One year of previous food and beverage/customer service experience in a Churrascaria.
One to two years previous food/knife handling and kitchen experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Should be able to clearly communicate in English
Additional languages is an asset
Interact positively and professionally with guests and colleagues
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
