Our client is an establish project management firm in the construction and buildings services industry with a portfolio of local and international clients. They are currently seeking to employ the services of a Head of Project Management to lead a team of project managers. Head of Project Management - Building Services MT 6797/14 Reporting directly to the CEO, the head of project management will be responsible for overseeing the progress and development of the company’s long-term local and international projects. Leading a team of consultants, project managers and engineers, the chosen candidate will be responsible for specifying project objectives, assigning projects and delegating tasks, budgeting, selecting project participants and setting the overall performance requirements. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for recommending changes to procedures, while ensuring the continuous development of systems and tools to improve the entire planning, design, estimating, contracting and construction process – both on-site and off-site. To be considered for this highly interesting role, you must be a qualified engineer with at least 6 years’ experience in project management within the construction or building services industries. Being a highly technical and knowledgeable leader with a hands-on approach to work and an excellent command of BIM programs and systems is essential for this role. Additionally, excellent organisation, communication and people management skills, coupled with technical knowledge and expertise in the field is essential

1. Diploma (ITI) in Electrical, Mechanical / HVAC (Mandatory - must have technical qualification).
2. Min. 2-3 years relevant experience in Facilities Maintenance - multiple trade lines MEP(UAE Experience Mandatory).
3. Clean & Valid Light Vehicle License is a must and good knowledge of Dubai roads.
4. Ability to independently lead and work alongside team of 3-4 technicians - this is a hand-on job!
5. Some knowledge of suppliers for consumables and spares and ability to negotiate for best pricing.
6. Language Skills - Basic English Required for customer interactions
7. Knowledge of S. Asian languages highly preferable (Hindi / Urdu / Malayalam)

Your main duties and tasks will be to provide effective safety advice to a range of projects, specifically within the roads and highways upgrade sector, through the development of Safety, Health and Environmental policies, strategies and improvement action plans. You will need to show ability to develop and manage effective communication of Safety, Health and Environmental matters through appropriate safety meetings and recognised company communication channels.

It is important that you are comfortable with undertaking site visits, conduct safety audits and inspections, accident and incident investigations, preparing and reviewing risk assessments and method statements, plus be the first port of call for all general safety management and review and evaluation of legislative, company and group standards.
