Local family based in Jumeirah require a full-time live in Chef for their private residence.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working in a similar role in a private residence is preferred.
- Good English and communication skills are required.
- Ability to cook to a high standard and for events up to 10-15 guests required.
- Ability to cook healthy food or clean food is an advantage.
- Candidates should have very good attention to detail, especially where cleaning and hygiene is concerned.
- Candidates need to be comfortable liaising directly with the family, as well as contractors, suppliers and the family’s Private Office staff.
- Enthusiasm and flexibility required, willingness to get involved and help out in other areas from time to time necessary.

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cooking.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchens, including all appliances, crockery, cutlery, glassware, silver etc.
- Menu planning – suggesting dishes/recipes for the family to try as well as planning menus for events.
- Maintain shopping lists; manage costs and shop for groceries and supplies.
- Liaising with caterers, outside suppliers for larger events, assisting as and when required.
COMPENSATION
Salary: Competitive package offered for the right candidate.
Working hours: 11am – 11pm daily, six days per week. Some flexibility in hours and days off will be required.
Benefits include; medical insurance, annual air ticket, performance based annual bonus.

Job Description
Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to the Restaurant guests.
Works in the designated station as set by Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
Able to organize the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders.
Able to prepare and sells food within recommended time frames to meet Guest expectations.
Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff.
Responsible to maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area.
Responsible for preparing and cooking all food items by the recipe and to specification.
Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide.
Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist.
Prepares, seasons, and cooks a wide variety of meats, vegetables, soups, breakfast dishes and other food items.
Have general knowledge of cooking temperatures, making soups & sauces, preparing entrees, vegetable preparation and a la carte cooking.
Set-up the station with par stocks of menu items, and prepare the dishes designated for that station.
Checks supplies and prep lists and ensures all items are prepped in a timely fashion.
Replenishes service lines as needed and restocks and prepares the workstation for the next shift.
Ensures that all products are stored properly in the correct location at the appropriate levels at all times.
Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
Serve food in proper portions on to correct serving vessels and plates.
