Job description

We are a uniform company seeking an individual with knowledge of straight stitch and blind stitch sewing. We are expanding our operation and are looking for employees that want to be part of a growing company. Our sewers mend and alter uniforms. The current position available is full time days. Compensation will be based on experience. We are looking only for experienced sewer/alteration applicants. Along with sewing the employee will also help packing and preparing orders.


Basic Tasks:

Cut, sew, trim and stitch clothes, and other tailored sports products.
Draw patterns to present to the company or clients.
Measure client’s vital statistics that will use as a pattern for the clothes.
Sew clothes using sewing machine or other stitching machines.
Inspect finished product and do finishing touches.
Hand stitch edges or linings.
Education and Training Requirements:

Must have taken vocational or short course in tailoring.
Must have at least 3-5 years experience as a sewer or tailor.
Age should not be over 35 years old
Skills and Competency Requirements:

Knowledge in sewing, both hand and machine sewing.
Knowledge and ability on different kinds of stitches and design.
Knowledge in different kinds of clothes.
Knowledge and ability to sew in different kinds of clothes from industrial uniforms, school uniforms, sports jerseys, and alterations.
Knowledge in fashion designing is a plus.
Knowledge and ability to design wearable and appealing clothes.
Ability to use sewing machines.
Communicates well with the clients.


Salary and Package:

Master Cutter Basic Salary: AED 1,500 per month + Transportation AED 200 + Housing AED 800 = AED 2,500 Gross per month
Sewer/Tailor Basic Salary: AED 1,000 per month +Transportation AED 200 + Housing AED 500 = AED 1,700 Gross per month
