Maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties.
Report shortage of materials to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
Liaising with vendors and pharmaceutical companies in an appropriate and professional manner.
Responsible for the safe and competent use of all equipment, patient appliances and aids used by patients in their service area.
Report all incidents and complaints at service level immediately for appropriate action to be taken, as per organization’s policy.
Ensure that medications are stored appropriately and securely.
Ensure internal and external quality controls as applied in assigned service area are within the required parameters.
Comply with regulations for environmental safety and infection control, amongst others. Ensure patient confidentiality.
Ensure implementation of medication management and use policies and procedures related to their service area.
