CLINICAL ASSISTANT DUBAI
The successful applicant will join a funded team researching the functions of interactive extracellular matrix macromolecules which are important in normal tissue development, are involved in latent growth factor storage and activation and which provide tensile and weight bearing properties to connective tissues. The research relates to a range of musculoskeletal disorders of tendon, intervertebral disc, articular cartilage and meniscus. Conditional null-mice have been developed and these will be challenged in a number of surgical models developed in the lab. This will complement solid-phase binding assays and cell culture approaches.
To succeed, you will possess a Degree in Medical or Biological Science. You will also need a demonstrable ability to work well as part of a team and the ability to perform and document experiments successfully in a conscientious manner. Research experience will be highly regarded, particularly in cell culture, biochemical analysis, small animal handling and histopathy. However, training in specific surgical models will be provided to the successful applicant.
